This applies to all original artwork, pet portrait commissions, and physical items sold via my website. Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support.

HOW IT WORKS
Guidelines on booking a pet portrait commission.
The first stage is to decide on the size of portrait:
My portraits are created using professional artist high quality light fast Pastels & Coloured Pencils and archival acid free paper. I sometimes add other mediums into the piece, these are always of a professional quality and standard.
Please note: I do not add backgrounds to portraits and the prices below are ‘unmounted & unframed’.

Please contact me regarding any group portrait requirements in order for me to provide a full quote before starting work.
I require a 30% non-refundable booking fee at time of booking with the balance due on completion. (Please note deposits are non refundable except in unfortunate cases where I need to cancel your booking, whereby I will refund your deposit in full).
The next stage is ‘The Photo’
Photo
To create a portrait of your pet, I’ll require some good quality reference photos to work from. Its important for them to be clear, the more detail I can see, the more realism I can work into your portrait. I need to see enough detail to clearly distinguish the animals features, particularly the eyes along with the colour and direction of the fur.
Please feel free to send as many as you like, we can then choose the best one for the portrait. Every animal is an individual and unique, the better the photo the better the portrait. I understand how difficult it is to get the perfect photograph of your pet but please do contact me if you have any queries.
A handy tip is to choose photos that are taken within a reasonably close distance to your pet. This will help to ensure your photo captures lots of detail. If everything looks very fuzzy when you zoom in to your image, then the photo will be difficult for me to work from.
Completion Time
My waiting list does vary during the course of the year so please confirm at the time of booking.
Progress on the Portrait
Once we’ve agreed a time frame and you’ve sent me your reference photos, size preference and deposit. I’ll be in touch just before I begin drawing the portrait. I will email you progress photos privately, so you can enjoy seeing the creation process and advise of any tweaks at this stage you feel would benefit the piece at that point. I generally post work-in-progress images and videos on my social media channels throughout the creation process. If your portrait is for a gift and you would rather updates were not posted please let me know at the time of booking.
On Completion Of The Portrait
I will email you a photograph of the portrait once I have completed it so you can check one last time and ensure you’re happy. Should you wish me to make any minor tweaks at this stage I am happy to do these although we would be in communication throughout the process to capture those tweaks at that stage. If the alterations are significantly different from the initial order there may be an additional cost. I always make sure you are completely satisfied with the portrait before posting it out to you.
Payment
Once you are happy with your finished portrait, the remaining balance and postage will be due. As soon as final payment has cleared, I will ship your artwork out to you. Your portrait will be securely packaged to a high standard to ensure its safety in transit. You'll be sent a tracking link so you can monitor the progress of your portrait in transit.
Payment for the deposit and balance can be made securely online by credit/debit card (via Paypal), Paypal or bank transfer. Bank transfer is preferred for UK payments if you are able to pay this way, as I don’t get charged a fee for receiving payments.
Paypal is the company I use to handle my online card payment transactions, it is free for you to use, secure, and you don’t need to have a Paypal account. The invoice has details of how to pay and a link will be emailed to you for you to access this online, for both deposit and balance payments.
If you are new to paying using a credit or debit card with Paypal, the easy-to follow instructions will guide you through the check-out process, similar to any online store.
